General Job Description

The Fellowships Coordinator supports the Unit’s management of the Fellowship program, including maintaining all program data for the Unit to support programmatic goals and efficient operation of the Unit. The position will provide complex, technical, and specialized research and support work, which requires the exercise of independent judgment, the application of technical skills, and a detailed knowledge of the activities and procedures specific to the Fellowships Unit. The Fellowships Coordinator will report to the Fellowships Program Manager and works closely with all members of the Unit on the implementation of the Unit’s plans.




  • Support Program Manager in the Fellowship application process by reaching out to prospective applicants and host organizations and responding to applicant and host organization inquiries; managing alumni review of applications; and coordinating interview logistics for Fellowship interviews.
  • Manage logistics of Fellow reporting cycles including communicating instructions to Fellows, ensuring timely submission of all reports, and analyzing reports for data in preparation for distribution to sponsors.
  • Provide general support to Fellowships team’s donor relations work, including but not limited to: researching prospects, preparation for donor meetings, ensuring donor record accuracy, supporting Fellowships team’s stewardship work related to Annual Dinner, etc.
  • Assist Fellowships team with specific tasks including but not limited to Supporting Payments to host organizations, Loan Repayment Assistance Program payments to Fellows, and donor acknowledgements to sponsors on an as needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by Unit leadership.

Education and Experience Required


  • Bachelor’s degree with two years of related work experience.


Physical Requirements

  • Lifting responsibilities of up to 20 pounds.


  • Daily activities are conducted in a typical office environment.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Experience with client relationship management software (e.g. Microsoft CRM, Salesforce, etc.) and videoconference/webinar software preferred.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
